This was a super-fun afternoon with the Baig family – Khasim & Sonbol with their 2 year old son Ayan !
My favorite spot was the group of Ginkgo trees at the west side of our island full of autumn colors ! The reflection of the cloudless sky on the East River also played out perfectly. Just Gold – a wonderful theme for a family photo session. 
Developing the scenes in B+W often helps me to express the family focus, some timeless moments with less background distractions. You can also concentrate more on the persons in the foreground – wonderful.
We were so lucky with the light that afternoon – I really love that timing in the early afternoon in the fall – a good chance for that warm and soft focus – nice experiment with the toning here …

One last color experiment (the ‘meditation steps’ as background here near the Subway Pier on the island are not really that color) , but isn’t it nice ?
Hmm, maybe for a canvas in the living room ? For years to come …
